Bikes are available for quarter-long loans. They are checked out each quarter during the end of the second week. Borrowing a bike is completely free of charge in order to provide equal access to bicycling for students who express financial need, however, the recipient is responsible for replacement of any lost or stolen parts.
For Spring 2018, we will begin accepting applications on October 1st at 8am. Eligible applicants who apply first will be given priority and bike supply is limited, so apply as soon as you can!
If you have borrowed a bike from the Bike Library in a previous quarter, you may still apply again, but we give priority to new applicants! We're glad you loved the program and will do our best to accommodate or lend advice again!
If you get approved for a bike, you MUST attend a TAPS sponsored Bicycle Street Skills class.
Dates and times of the class for Spring Quarter are:
- Wednesday, October 10th from 5:30 to 8:00pm
- Thursday, October 11th from 5:30 to 8:00pm
Change from previous quarters:
Bikes will distributed on two days this quarter: 1) the morning of Saturday, April 14th from 10am-2:00pm, and 2) Monday, April 16th from 1-4pm. At the Street Skills class we will be assigning times for folks to show up at 10 minute intervals. Please arrive on time on Saturday or Monday, and we will be able to get everyone going with a bike quickly!
We look forward to reviewing your applications!
