Who are we?

The Bike Library is originally a campaign of the Student Environmental Center that is now under the direction of UCSC's Transportation and Parking Services. Our mission is to promote bike ridership and support a growing bike community by providing bikes to students, faculty, and staff who would otherwise not have them. 
We have 30 Kona bikes available to be checked out for free to eligible applicants at the beginning of each quarter.

If you are still interested in borrowing a bicycle, please apply next Fall.

Please schedule ahead for the Street Skills class! If you get approved for a bike and have NOT attended a class previously, you must attend one of these classes. Dates and times can be found below on our calendar and on the "Apply for a Bike" page. Thanks!

Join the Transportation Campaign of the Student Environmental center! We are always looking for more help.
We have:
  • 2 and 5 unit internships through the Environmental Studies department
  • Possible paid position as the Campaign Coordinator
  • Or just be a general member and hang out with us!

Our weekly meetings for Spring Quarter are 12:30pm Mondays at The Stevenson Cafe. See you there!
